Do I need an API key?

No. AI is built in and fully managed by your Keyfloe subscription. You never see, configure, or pay for an API key.

Can I assign any feature to any key?

Yes. Open the notch dashboard, click any key on the visual keyboard, and assign one of the built-in features. Each key supports four variants: press, long-press, +⌃ press, and +⌃ long-press.

What can it do on day one?

Chat, dictate, draft and reply to emails, polish writing, answer highlighted questions, run live interview prompts, and more. Bind any of them to any key.

How do I assign actions to a key?

Open the dashboard, click any key, and pick what it should do. Each key can do four different things — a quick tap, a hold, and two combinations.

What is Keyfloe Chat Popup?

Chat Popup is a floating AI chat window that opens on any keystroke and stays out of your way until you press the same key again. You don’t switch apps, open a browser tab, or paste a prompt into a separate tool.

Which key triggers the chat?

Whatever key you pick. Open the dashboard, click any key on the visual keyboard, and assign Chat Popup to a Tap or Long-Press. fn is the default but you can use Right Option, Right Control, or any other modifier.

Does the chat see what’s on my screen?

Only when you explicitly enable screen context for that key. By default the chat receives just your prompt. Screen capture is a per-binding option you turn on per key.

Where does the answer go?

Wherever you want — the popup itself, your clipboard, or auto-pasted back at the cursor in your previous app. You configure that per key.
